Questions

Our nonprofit isn’t a food bank. Will it fit?
Yes. The demo is a made-up food pantry so every page has content, but nothing in Lantern is food-only. The setup guide has program and gift ideas for shelters, youth programs, senior services, gardens, arts groups, animal rescues and more.
Does Lantern take donations itself?
No, on purpose: donation services handle cards, receipts and monthly giving far better than any template. Lantern gives their form a home. Zeffy, for example, is free for nonprofits.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The HTML guide walks you through changing text, photos and colors with a free text editor. Prefer pointing and clicking? Choose the WordPress version.
HTML or WordPress: which should I choose?
If you already have WordPress hosting, or several people will edit the site, choose WordPress. If you want the fastest, simplest site with free hosting, choose HTML.
Are the demo photos included?
No. The demo uses free stock photos for preview only. The download has placeholders, so your site shows your own people and work.
